3-Ingredient Sour Cream Biscuits
In this Instructable, learn how to make super easy Southern-style sour cream biscuits with just 3 simple ingredients. Start to finish, they are ready in 30 minutes.
Supplies
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of self-rising flour (125g)
- 1 cup or 8 oz of sour cream (226g)
- 1/2 cup or 1 stick of butter (113g)
NOTE: You can use up to a full cup or 2 sticks of butter if you want them extra buttery.
Additional ingredients are raisins and or chocolate chips.
Equipment/Tools:
- Bowls
- Wooden
- Spoon
- Mini muffin pans or a normal muffin pan
Make the Dough
Add all three ingredients to a large bowl and mix with a sturdy spoon or use an electric mixer or a stand mixer with a dough attachment.
The dough should be tacky and thick.
Bake
Now, scoop a little bit of dough into each cavity of the muffin pan. It will make 20 to 24 mini biscuits or 8 to 12 large ones.
Bake in a preheated oven at 375F/190C for 18 to 20 minutes until lightly golden brown on top.
Let them cool for a few minutes in the pan and then remove them and serve them as is, with butter and jelly, with honey, gravy, etc.
