The following instructables instructions page is regarding 3d printed bufferstops for Bachmann EZ track.

Supplies

For this project, I used Autodesk Fusion 360, Bachmann EZ track, a vernier caliper for measuring, Prusa Slicer, and a Prusa MINI 3D printer.

Use Organic supports on a 15% speed print time. Infill 20%

Prototype

Here is the prototype for my buffer stop modeled in Fusion. It is made to sit between the sleeper ties of the EZ track for a firm halt.

Prototype Revisions

Here the prototype has been shrunk down and printed in standard PLA using an Original Prusa MINI printer. The print was fragile, and the front bars that sit in between the rails snapped off. Modeling these bars thicker with reenforcing supports will greatly improve the durability of the buffers.

Final Prototype, a Failure

Following the failure of the second prototype, I was determined to fashion a revised final prototype, one that wouldn't break, and would hold to the sleepers on the EZ track.

Measurements were checked, the prototype was edited, and it was printed...only for it to be out of scale once again.
