LED Strips can be used to make nice lights and atmosphere.
This is a simple and beautiful Ramadan Lantern I made with LED strip and Microwave Oven Motor.
First. I found that this Microwave oven turntable Motor can generate high voltage.
This is not a violation of laws of conservation of energy. But because this motor has a set of reduction gears to reduce its speed ( it's normally powered with 220V as a motor ) and increase its torque , that makes it moves fast as a generator and hence generates high voltage but low current.
I used this old Microwave Oven Turntable Motor to light an LED 220v strip.
I connected the LED Strip to the Microwave motor and fixed the LED strip to a frame using threads and then I turned the Motor and light the LED strip.
That's all.
