50 Shades of Green

I love cake, so why not make a cake all in a favorite color?! This is a cake baked and decorated with different shades of green.

Supplies

  1. cake mix
  2. oil
  3. water
  4. eggs
  5. cake pans
  6. whisk
  7. mixing bowl
  8. food coloring
  9. cooking spray
  10. measuring cup
  11. premade frosting
  12. spatula
  13. knife
  14. green candies

  1. Make one of the boxes of cake mix according to the back of the box.
  2. Add food coloring to desired color for the lightest shade of green.
  3. Put half of the batter in one cake pan.
  4. Add more food coloring to the remaining batter to make it darker. Then put that in the second pan. Bake according to directions on back of cake mix box.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 from above, increasing the food coloring amount so you have four different shades of green.
  6. Allow cakes to cool completely.

Take your frosting and combine them into a bowl and add food coloring until you reach the desired color for your frosting.

Place the darkest color cake on the bottom and put a layer of frosting on top. Next, put the next darkest cake on top and frost the top of that one. Continue until all four cakes have been placed on top of each other. Frost the entire outside of the cake.

Take your candies and decorate your cake however you want it to look. I added green gummy army men because I love the army and the candy tastes great.
