How to Clean a Porcelain Sink

Every-time that I clean my stove top; I get black marks in my porcelain sink.  I have been avoiding harsh chemicals to clean my house so this Instructable is how I clean my sink using friendlier products.  My sink is the original sink from the late 30's.  There have been many tenants over the years and I think for its age and use the sink looks pretty good. 

Products

To clean this sink I used:

Baking Soda.
Peroxide.

Tools

Sponge with a safe texture for cleaning.
Bar towels.

Scrub

Wet the sink.
Wet the sponge.
Sprinkle Baking Soda on the sponge.
Begin scrubbing the surface.

Peroxide

Add Peroxide to the sponge.
Scrub some more.
Let set for 15 Minutes.

Rinse

  • Rinse the sink thoroughly.
  • Scrub any remaining spots.
  • Rinse again.
  • Buff dry with a bar towel.
  • Done!

As you can see the Baking Soda and Peroxide did wonders for the marks.  I use these products a lot around my house and I am very pleased with the results.  Just think; I did not have to use harsh chemicals and the sink is beautiful!
