BB8 Easter Egg/Secret Safe

Hey guys! In this instructable, I'll be showing you how to build your very own BB8 (or should I say BB-EGG?). Now, let's begin!

For this project, you will need:
*A plastic easter egg
*A small plastic ball (see picture)
*Electrical tape
*Steel wire
*White acrylic paint

Tools:
*Pliers
*Hot glue gun
*Pocketknife
*Paintbrush

Cut a round hole in the top of the plastic ball. It should be barely big enough to squeeze the long end of the plastic egg through.

Put a liberal amount of hot glue into the plastic ball, and squeeze the egg inside, as shown. You should now have a form resembling bb8.

Note: make sure that the egg's "hinge" stays above the mouth of the ball. You'll want to be able to open it later.

Take your BB8 form and paint it completely white with the acrylic paint.

You're so close! Now, take a small length of wire, and make an antenna like in the picture. Use sharpies to draw BB-8's features. And finally, enjoy! You can use your BB8 as a storage place, to keep pocket change, or as an easter egg in an egg hunt!
