Backpacking and survival tip. how to make dehydrated food tomatoes great for prepping
In this video I will show you how to dehydrate tomatoes for shelf stable storage
cut 5 medium sized tomatoes into 8/th
slice 2 sprigs of basil
add basil and tomatoes together
mix with a table spoon of oil and a heaping tea spoon of salt
let sit for an hour in the fridge
put tomatoes in dehydrator on medium heat (135f) for 24hrs
after dehydrated add into a air tight container with enough oil to cover tomatoes
will keep for up to a year depending on the freshness of the oil
