Fun project to make a unique coffee table.
Getting Started

I started my quest to create a Batman Coffee Table by searching for a unique coffee table to use. I stopped at the Racine, Wisconsin Habitat ReStore Construction Materials Reuse Center and found a good size table with a cracked piece of marble on top. After creating my bottle cap table I knew I wanted a table that had a recess to pour the epoxy in. I purchased it for 35 dollars, which goes towards a good cause.
Sanding

The first step was sanding so I could paint. Even if you are just doing some minor sanding do it outside if you can.

After the sanding I found some white egg shell paint and primer I used to paint a wall in the basement a few months ago. I flipped it over after the first coat to paint the bottom to make it easer to do the second. I originally used a cheap tag brush but the bristles kept falling on the table so I switched to a disposable foam brush.

I used pinterest to search for images of batman and printed them off. I made this for personal use not profit either way I apologize for using any images without the consent of the artists. I just thought this was the most awesome way to make a batman collage with some of my favorite images. I also purchased the dark knight decal on Amazon.
“I seek...The means to fight injustice. To
turn fear against those who prey on the fearful.” The BatmanAfter I glued down the images I dripped black paint over the photos to bring it together aesthetically.
After the paint dried I poured the two-part Envirotex epoxy on the table. It takes a few days to harden so make sure you do it in a place you don’t mind keeping it for awhile. Also where gloves when using the epoxy make sure you dispose leftover materials in a garbage that’s out of reach of dogs or in my case a puppy.
