Today you will learn how to turn your old bottle caps into cute little candles! These are relatively easy and only take around 30 minutes to make. These can be used for emergency situations, brightening up a room, or even treating yourself to a spa day! These babies can burn up to 1 hour and can be made out of any old candle! So thank you for clicking and I hope you enjoy my tutorial!

Gather Your Materials

For this project, you will need...

  • A heating pad used for candles
  • Bottle caps
  • Scissors
  • Clear tape
  • Matches
  • Wicks

  • Old candle

Now let's get started!!

Melting Your Wax

Plug in your heat pad, turn it on and place your candle on the surface. To make this process go a little faster, I like to light up the candle. While your wax is melting move on to step 3.

Preparing Your Bottlecaps

Take your wick and cut off 1 inch of a wick. Then take a small piece of tape and tape half of the wick to the bottom of the bottle cap as seen in the picture. Then bend the remaining wick that is not taped upwards. Repeat this step until all of your bottle caps have a wick.

Creating Your Candle

Now slowly take your melted candle (careful it still may be hot) and very carefully pour wax into your bottle cap, one drip at a time. Repeat this step until all of your bottle caps are filled. It will only take 3 minutes for it to completely dry.

Enjoy!!!
