For eating off of when you're on a couch, this C table was made from an old table top.

Cut the table top 14" x 22".

Cut two upright legs 4" x 24 "

Cut four supports 3" x 13".

Cut one cross piece 2 1/2" x 19".

Cut the upright legs on a 45 degree angle at both ends. Cut the four support pieces on a 45 degree angle at one end.

Shape the Pieces

Round the corners on the table top.

Curve the upright legs. Measure in 3/4" on the top and bottom and make a curve with a jig saw for the back. Measure in 3/4" in the middle of the inside and make a curve that follows the outside curve.

With the top and bottom supports, start with the full width at the 45 degree end and taper it down to 1 ".

Connect the Supports to the Upright Legs

Clamp the 45's of a support and an upright leg together. Screw the two together.

Drill a 1/4 or 5/16 hole from the flat part of the support piece down into the leg. Glue and insert a 1/4 or 5/16 dowel. Drill another hole a little further along. Glue and insert dowel. A jig is recommended to help you drill straight as you don't have a lot of room for error.

Cut off the excess dowel and sand them smooth.

Do the same for the other three corners.

Assembly

Sand all pieces.

Place the table top upside down and measure 3/4" in from the short sides. The rounded front should be just before the front long edge of the table. Drill three pilot holes spaced along the top support piece and countersink them. Choose an appropriate sized screw for each one (you don't want to go through the top). Screw the support piece to the table top.

Repeat with the other leg and support combination.

Place the cross piece 3 " from the back bottom. Drill two pilot holes and countersink holes on each end. Screw 2 " screws in to hold it together.

Insert wood buttons on all screw holes.

Stain, varnish, or oil.
