Insert the handle leaving 1/2" space in the back. Mark through the hole in the top where you want the hole in your handle. Take out the handle and drill 1/2" hole into the handle, but DO NOT DRILL ALL THE WAY THROUGH. If you do, your candy will fall out.
Place a screw in the back of the handle to stop the handle from sliding out when you pull it. Place a screw in the front so you can pull the handle out easily.

Sand everything down to your liking. Paint if you want it to feel pretty.
Fill your jar with candy (something smaller than 1/2" like jelly beans or chocolate chips)
Invert the wooden part and screw your jar on.
Flip right-side-up, pull out the handle, and eat your candy!
To make festive for Halloween, gut a large pumpkin large enough to fit over your jar. Paint a face on the pumpkin.
