This project helps you understand the difference between a series circuit and a parallel circuit. Often, when we're in a class or at a science show, the components are small and hard to see. So let's create our components out of cardboard and on a scale that's easy to see from a distance and by many people at the same time.

- We need to close our cardboard box. And then with duck tape we decorate the box with 2 tones. At the bottom of the box we create an opening that allows us to access the interior and at the top we make 2 small holes where we will then introduce the electrodes.
- Let's now identify the positive and negative poles with the plus and minus signs and with different colors.
- To build the electrodes we will create 2 strips of cardboard and use two straws. After cutting, cover everything with adhesive copper tape.
-
Now we connect the battery holder terminals to the cables and the cables to the electrodes built earlier.

- We can use one of the tapes as a measurement for our lamp. Cut a strip of cardboard to wrap the ribbon.
- Close the cylinder with tape.
- Blow up a balloon so we have the rounded part of the bulb - in the end we can pop the same one, it's always fun!
- Cut 2 strips of cardboard and wrap the balloon and glue it to the cylinder.
- Wrap with cellophane and then use duck tape to give the final decoration.
- Now you can pop the balloon.
- For the base where the electrical part of the lamp will be, we cut 2 circles, once again a roll of tape can serve as a measure.
- To build the electrodes, we cut 2 strips of cardboard and wrapped them with copper tape. Then, with double-sided adhesive tape, we glue each electrode to one end of the base.
- We now place double-sided tape in the center and glue the lamp holder. The two wires must be connected to the electrodes at the base using copper adhesive tape.
