Cardboard Pen/Marker Holder

This project is of a pen holder I made out of cardboard. It uses only scrap parts, making it a perfect small project.

Supplies

Large Cardboard Sheet

3-4 Straws

Glue Stick

Tape

Cardstock

Scissors (Laser cutter if available)

Cut Out All Cardboard Parts

If you have a laser cutter, use the DWG provided to cut out all the parts. Otherwise, trace all the parts onto cardboard and cut them out.

Put Together Main Cylinder

Use the 6 slats and the two circles with 6 circles and put them together.

Straw Insertion

Insert the straws (folding them inside of each other in order to add more width into the main body and add the spiral piece into the bottom.

Add Top & Bottom

Assemble the top and bottom by cutting pieces out of the straws and inserting them into the small curved holes.

Finishing Touches

Wrap paper around slits to hold objects in place (add color if wanted), then test to make sure all the parts move. Congratulations, the build is complete!
