Find the cleanest spot on your wood and lay a piece of carbon paper down on it. Now place your printout over it and trace the state with a pencil. Repeat this with any logo that you choose to do.

You can now begin carving. I started with the outline of the state and just chiseled the wood away. The logo was much more detailed and I didn't want to screw it up since this was my only piece of wood so I used a small swiss army knife to carve it out.

Cutting

Take your scroll saw and cut out the sign, I left a half inch border around it but you don't have to do the same.

I spent about 2 hours on this and am happy with the results. Although, it's a bit small so i'm probably just going to sit it on my desk instead of hanging it. I really love the old/rustic look of it and will probably try another on a larger scale.
