Cheapest Pocket Music Player
I like to listen music. I heard them in my laptop and Alexa, but I want to listen while playing or exercising. When I go online search for MUSIC player I get surprised about their price get so, I brought DF player.
This is a tutorial of portable, compact, cheap music player which anyone can make. I am making Headphone version, but you can make speaker also. You can use SD card or USB for input. The headphone version has an estimate runtime of 20 hours from, 2600mah 3.7v li-ion battery. I am not sure about the runtime of speaker version because it will depend on the speaker. I make this from mainly scratch (except some part).
You can find Circuit Diagram of both version: https://github.com/Vanjo90/MP3-music-player(I remove the charging module and battery because they can not solder battery and I have ordered a li-ion 18650 battery case.)
Supplies
List of material are :-
- DF player
- Tactile button
- 3.5 mm Headphone female jack
- 100K Ω
- 51K Ω
- 33K Ω
- Micro SD card (FAT3 or FAT16 formatted)
- USB female connector
- Pen drive
- Switch
- Li-ion battery charging module with 5v booster
- Any Case (for placing your circuit)
Material used for in making:-
- Cutter
- Flux
- Soldering wire
- Wire cutter
- Tape
- Soldering machine
- Wire
- Hands
Circuit
First you have to check you circuit in breadboard and replace the faulty device with working .
Soldering
Solder the device. Be careful will soldering because it is hot. Also do not short circuit. I am using female jumper wire in connect because it will make the work easy, and I can also us it in another project.
Formating
Placing the Circuit in Case
Place your circuit in a case which you can make, 3D print or get from scratch. I am using glue gun for placing and Harding the connection.
It is time for creativity I am making in my way. You can make the case in your way. This part is full of creativity.Do not forget to place some hole in case because it will help in ventilation of battery otherwise it can heat up you modules and battery.
Tips
I am taking power direct from pin of USB so, I can use my USB for powering device like small fan, led etc. But according to the 2in1 3.7v Battery charge and 5v booster the maximum output will be 1A, and we are using the two device parallel(DF player and peripherals) and the load must equal to 1A. DF player maximum amps using Headphone with the highest volume is 200mA (it is permanent). So it will leave 1000mA-200mA = 800mA. So the peripherals take ≤800mA. If you are using peripherals, it will affect runtime. If you want to increase runtime, you can add another same battery in parallel (don't add in series). If you are making speaker version, you can also add PAM8043 amplifier for more volume (it will decrease your runtime). You can also prefer DF player datasheet.
