Chocolate Peppermint Sugar Cookies

This is a great twist on sugar cookies--chocolate peppermint sugar cookies. These make perfect gifts for Christmas to give to friends and family! As one of the three ingredients, store-bought cookies are always fine, but if you prefer to make them yourself, check out my instructable for Christmas Sugar (Spritz) Cookies.

Have fun in the kitchen!

Smash candy canes in their wrappers with the handle of a kitchen knife, or something flat and similar. See picture for what candy cane should look like after crushing.

Cut wrappers, and pour crushed all candy cane into a bowl.

Prepare a place for your cookies by placing a piece of parchment/wax paper on a small/medium plate.

Dip in Chocolate

Dip in chocolate by hand to cover about 3/4 of the cookie (leave room for finger space).

Place in candy cane crumbs on both sides until covered. Do this with all the cookies. Place on parchment/wax paper on plate, and refrigerate for around 10 minutes before eating or placing in gifts bags.
