Flipping a coin is too easy. Let's make it a bit complex. Why not make a chain reaction for coin flipping.

Supplies

  1. Cardboard
  2. Glue
  3. Sticks
  4. Coins
  5. Small ointment container
  6. Wooden blocks
  7. Staples

Making the Coin Fall

  1. At first draw the outline of the coin on a cardboard square sheet.
  2. Now cut the square a few cm bigger than the coin.
  3. Then glue two small cardboard sheets on both sides as shown the image above.

Making the Rail

  1. For the rail cut two thin strip of cardboard and glue together.
  2. Then cut a bigger strip and glue the thin strips to it
  3. Finally glue them to the canvas(where you want it to be) as shown in the above picture.
  4. You can use many of these rails but in a order so that the coin from one rail fall into the other.

The Brakes and Another Ramp

As the coin falls from the last rail, if it is not stopped or the speed is not lowered it gets away from the frame. So we introduce the braking system .

  1. Its two cardboards ,stick together perpendicularly to the surface using sticks through the perforated portion of the cardboard.
  2. The position of the two Brakes are adjusted.
  3. A ramp (which is a cardboard) is glued at an angle from the surface as a result the coin slides off the ramp.

Making the Lever

The coin falls from the ramp onto the lever which triggers the ointment can to roll

  1. A lever is made by rolling a cardboard piece and using it as fulcrum.
  2. A load which is the ointment can is put, and a piece of cardboard is put in front of it so that it doesn't roll away.

Making the Dominoes

The ointment can makes the dominoes fall.

  1. Cut a square/rectangular piece of cardboard and bend it at two points as shown in the above figure
  2. Adjust the bend to make it stand upright
  3. Make few of these and put them at a certain distance from each other
  4. At the end use some Wooden blocks

The End

Lastly the wooden blocks falls onto another lever with a coin as the load and make the chain reaction complete thus flipping our coin.
