Cooling Chest Insert

This, cooling chest insert has cooling water channels that are nested into the foam base, allowing for cooling while being comfy. it also uses a peltier element made to cool the water channels down along with the fan. Its like a radiator, just for the human body. I havent made a vest for this but its meant to be under your suit, which during the summer time would be very hot to be in. because of its size, you would need to have something heavy over it like a suit. The water channels face toward your torso. I know this may be highly impractical, strapping a active cooling system to your chest but, i mean its creative so we have that. This project is also intending to make it so it teaches u how to troubleshoot when a manuel doenst cover it.

Supplies

A long amount of 3mm silicone (and flexible) tubing, 200x230x12 mm stiff foam, small water pump, 40x40 mm peltier element, a custom heatsink, 60mm fan, custom PCB (must have a thermoneter and a fan controller idk), and a big flat battery.

Fan Cutout

First, make a hold around the corner of the foam big enough to stick a 30mm fan and its mounting holes which youll use a threaded insert for a m2 screw.

Tubing

Make a shallow cutout on the foam so your silicone tubes and run through, makesure to fill it with water and hook up the pump to either side like a loop and lay it out as show in the pic. ( you can use hot glue or an adhesive just any way that can keep it there.)

Seating the Fan

Pop the fan in between the outer layer and screw it in using the inserts.

Seating the Thermoelectric Thang

You can make a cutout to make the peltier element more flushbut other wise would be fine, just make sure its secure.

Seating the Heatsink

Seat the custom heatsink using thermal paste and you can use any way to keep the heat sink from falling off because i havent made a solution for that yet.

Seating the PCB

Use a custom PCB that has a fan controller and thermo sensor for detecting the heat in the water tubing. You can use a cutout to make the pcb more flush but for now just hook up the pump, the fan, and peltier to it.

Battery Time

Seat any battery as long it is med/large and flat and make a cutout on the foam to make it more flush and hook it up to your pcb using any way.

Program Time

For this step, its time to use chatgpt. program it on how ever way on when the fan turns on or the peltier element turns on. Its highly customizable on your pref.

Thats It

If you go out wearing those tuxedos then if you tuck it in you can fit the chest insert and you can probably use a small switch to turn on the active cooling system or have it be automated so when the internal temp goes up a certain threshold, then the cooling engages and when its cold enough, it disengages. I know this is very impractical but its certainly creative so, yea thats it.
