Couture Earrings

Big, beautiful couture earrings are all the rage for fall and now you can make your own without spending a fortune. Adding just a few touches of rhinestone trim and mixed metal chains, you can create these stunning earrings that are sure to get you noticed.

You'll Need

Aluminum flashing (any hardware store)
Tin shears or serrated edge scissors
E-6000 Glue
Rhinestone chain
Silver and gold chain
Large stone beads
Clip on earring backs
Prepare the Pieces

Once you've figured out the design, trace around the stones on the aluminum flashing
Carefully cut out the shapes adding 1/4" all the way around each shape
Glue the stones to the corresponding shapes with E-6000 Glue and let dry for 30 minutes
Put Them Together

Cut rhinestone chain to size and glue it around each stone on the 1/4" extension with more E-6000 and a toothpick
Turn the pieces over and connect them with more glue and long pieces of chain Add the earring clips and let everything dry for at least 1 hour
