Covering a Spring Antenna

I recently replaced the antenna on my old viper remote with a spring to give me far better range.

Now it's time to make it look pretty.
Opening Up.

Dismantling the remote was easy.
The Antenna Cover.

Using a piece of heat shrink, I slid the new cover over the spring antenna.
At the time I was cooking dinner so I used the stove burner heat to shrink the wrap onto the spring. Now it looks form fitting and way cooler.

Finishing Touches.

I used black silicone adhesive to seal both ends of the antenna covering.
Reassembly and Completion!

Quick reassembly and using the tie wrap to hold it all together. I used a little black silicone to seal off near the antenna. Job done!
