Collect the Essentials

All you need is one milk bottle - a funnel and tape/scissors may be useful..

Pour Your Cooking Oils Into the Bottle

Add your fats and grease into the bottle. Use a funnel if it helps.

Wipe Fat From Pans

Use a paper towel to clean fats from pans and put the towel in the bin or the bottle. If it is in the bottle it may help later on when the water and oils separate.

Leave to Settle

If you shake the bottle some fats will stick to the bottle.

Keep adding new fats and leave to watch as the oils and water separates.

Optional -Drain Any Water

After the fats settle you may have a lot of clear water at the bottom.

Take the bottle outside, use scissors to make a hole and drain off most of the water onto the earth. Make your hole near the bottom and seal it up with tape.

Bin the Bottle

Put your bottle in the normal bin. It will be burned along with the fats to produce energy.

There isn't much plastic in the milk bottle so its not that wasteful, better than fat blocking your drains.
