I was considering purchasing new head phones. The ones I have were a gift from my son and I have really enjoyed them. The ear pieces has become quite worn and were getting uncomfortable. Little did I know you can replace the ear pads. It's super easy too!

For this project I purchased a head phone replacement ear pad set. They seem compatible for several models. Pick one that matches your brand. If interested, I also included a link for a head phone similar to the one I use (black like mine seems currently unavailable).

Remove the existing earpads. Carefully slip off the old ear pads. There was no glue or adhesive, just an elastic overlap. Extend one side of the ear phones at a time to allow for more room.

In the photo you can see side by side how badly worn the old ones had become. The new ones were a match. There is a lip on the ear phones. Start at the top, its narrower, and slip the lip of the earphones inside the new cover. They are very snug but will stretch to fit. It took a bit of wiggling to slip the covers on. I have sausage fingers but managed to get one of the ear pads on. I drafted help from my wife to finish. She was able to slip the second one on easily, then tuck the edge into the groove. Success! I didn't realize how worn the old ones had become. They are really comfortable.
