As I was thinking of a dessert to make in my free time, I came up with this delicious dessert idea. Vanilla wafers covered in dark chocolate, with a banana slice in the middle for the perfect bite-sized treat. This project is relatively quick and easy. Enjoy reading!

Melt the Chocolate

The first step is to take the chocolate melts and empty about half of the bag into a glass bowl.

While a double boiler is always a great option to melt chocolate, using a glass bowl in the microwave is still effective and much easier (perfect for me haha). Buying dark chocolate melts (better known as cocoa melts) is essential because they're much easier to microwave without issues.

Put the bowl in the microwave and set it to around 30-40 seconds. Since all microwaves vary, keeping an eye on it while it's in there is a good idea. Once it is melted, take it out and get ready for step 2!

Vanilla Wafers

If you want to avoid the extra work of cleaning your cooking tray, (which we'll only be using to place the wafers in the freezer later, since it can fit more compared to a plate) using parchment paper is a good idea. After placing it on the cooking tray, we can now start covering the wafers in the melted chocolate.

This part is pretty easy. It just takes awhile. Using the tongs, take wafers and kinda mix them in the chocolate for a few seconds, then take the wafers out and onto the tray. Once there is no more chocolate, repeat the first step with the other half of the bag and continue until all the chocolate is used. I was personally able to do 56 wafers before I ran out- which is 28 wafer sandwiches.

Now we can take the tray and place the vanilla wafers inside the freezer to harden. This should take about 20-30 minutes.

Slice Those Bananas

Following the math, each banana should be sliced for 14 slices (28 total). The total could change depending on the amount you made, which really is your decision. Anyways, I did the math. After 28 banana slices, I threw away the peels and began making the sandwiches.

Serve and Enjoy!

Take the chocolate covered wafers and make a sandwich with the banana slices. After you're finished, feel free to enjoy them now or save them for later.
