Tools:

  1. Mixing bowl
  2. Whisk
  3. Spatula
  4. Oven
  5. Glass Casserole Tray

Ingredients:

  1. 8 tablespoons Butter
  2. 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  3. An egg
  4. 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  5. 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  6. 1 Cup Flour

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (180 C) and gather your supplies. After you have done that line your dish with parchment paper or grease it with butter.

Butter and Batter

Melt the butter and mix it with brown sugar then mix in the egg, vanilla, salt, and flour. Next add the chocolate chips (optional).

Time to Bake

Spread the batter evenly in the dish, then bake for 20-30 minutes or until the edges look dry; but the middle still looks under baked. I think that 25 minutes is the sweet spot.

After it's done baking, take it out of the oven and lay it on a rack to let it cool for 15-20 minutes.

Now cut it any way you want and enjoy! You could eat it with ice cream, whipped cream or just some fruit. They're also good by themself.

Reflection

This was the first time I have ever made blondies and I had some challenges along the way. I was doing pretty good until the end, but I think I over baked them a little bit and I left them out overnight and it got a little dry. For yours, make sure to seal it up tight and don't leave it out on the counter overnight like I did. Over all though it was fun to make and a change up from the same old brownies.
