Double Spiral Hot Dog
If you've mastered the single spiral hot dog, you're ready to move on to the double spiral. This requires that you first CORE the hot dog, to allow the strands room to entwine. Core the hot dog using a coring tool. I made mine from a $2 length of 3/8" stainless water supply line from Lewe's. With the dog cored and the coring tool still in the dog make first spiral cut, but do not cut all the way to the ends of the dog, or you will end up with hot dog noodles. Then make a second spiral cut, in the space between the first cut. SEE DIAGRAM Slide off of corer into boiling water. Cook until it floats, and then a minute more. Strain. Looks like DNA.
