Easy Buckle Ring
If you like rings, and want something easy to make, then this is the project for you, a super cool buckle ring!
Supplies
- A strip of leather (about 7cm/3")
- A thick needle and thread
- A buckle
- Scissors
- A thimble (optional but I recommend using one)
Attaching the Buckle
Fold a small portion of the leather strip over the side of the buckle and back onto itself. Using your thread and needle, sew a few runner stitches up and down the part where the leather is folded onto itself until the buckle is on secure.
Fitting
Wrap the leather around your finger and pull the other end up through the side of the buckle until the ring fits snugly. Mark where the leather touches the buckle and using your scissors snip a small hole there.
Finishing Up
Attach your ring using the hole you made before. It should fit well. Slide the left over cm or so of leather across the buckle and down the other side, like you would when attaching anything with one of these.
You are now ready to get out and wear your new ring!
