Effect of Electric Cars on the Environment

This Project is about how the Netherlands motivated its citizens to use Electric Vehicles by building charging. This lowered the carbon emissions by cars in the Netherlands because people used electric cars instead of fuel based cars.

Global warming is a big issue in our world that is based on our carbon emissions as a world. If we find new ways to lower the carbon dioxide that we produce like using Electric Vehicle instead of normal fuel based cars it can be a big step in solving the issue.

The idea is that if we begin to use electric cars as a society it would lower our carbon emissions and help protect the environment. So if the government starts making it more efficient and ideal for citizens to use Electric Cars instead of Normal vehicles it would lower our carbon emissions.

Independent variable: the amount of Electric Vehicle charging stations

Dependent variable: the amount of Electric Vehicles

Controlled Variable: the same country (Netherlands)

From 2013 to 2018 the amount of EV’s in the Netherlands went from 24,000 to 140,000. Also how the Netherlands was building more and more EV charging stations than any other country around the world.

The steps are if a government like for example the KSA builds more electric vehicle charging station it would have to wait to see if the number of electric vehicles in the country increase.

This information shows that after the Netherlands began to build more EV charging stations that were cheaper to fully charge the vehicle than fuel based cars in gas stations the number of Electric Vehicles in the Netherlands increased heavily

This data shows that when the government makes it cheaper to charge Electric Vehicles than Fuel Based cars by providing a lot of cheap EV charging stations the citizens will chose to buy Electric Vehicles and will reduce the Carbon Emmisions.

As you can see after the people in Netherlands began using Electric Vehicles Carbon Emissions by cars began decreasing over time.

As you can see from all the information I showed when the Netherlands built electric charging stations that made it more efficient to use electric vehicles more people bought them and overall began to decrease the carbon emissions.

This is important to reduce the carbon dioxide that we produce globally. It is also a big step in fighting global warming.
