Energy Tiles
I made Tiles that produces energy when you step on them. The display shows how they work with tiles, a person, light posts, and wires. The tiles would be on the ground normally and the wires underneath would be underground. In the image, it only shows the wires connecting to the lamp posts but in real life, it would be connected to more stuff. The wires are colored in blue showing that there is electricity going past. This is a great way of producing electricity since you're getting energy just by walking instead of burning fossil fuels.
Supplies
- tiles (able to work with electricity)
- wires
- lamp posts
- and person
The Tiles
In Tinkercad, take the box shape in the options of shapes on the right. Change the color of the shape and shorten the height of it. For my box, it has 10 steps, and is 4 mm tall. Then just duplicate them making a set of tiles but don't group them since then it will remove the lines and make it into one big block.
The Person
I added a person to show how the process works. I just found the model online and I added it.
The Wires
I took the cylinder shape and changed the color to blue and resized it. The blue also makes it look like there is electricity running through it.
The Street Light
So I have the tiles and the wires that connects to it, now I need something to power using the tiles. I decided to use a street light to show the wires connecting to something. This was probably the hardest one to make since it contained multiple shapes to make it. I decided to keep it simple with only 11 shapes. For the yellow light, I used the cube shape and increased the radius and decreased the steps to 6.
Putting It Together
When you put it together, it should look like this. You don't necessarily have to put the person in that exact location. link: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/ck10Mv60djR-electricity-using-steps?sharecode=nsX7wit3kpf4RKW22-LAdi8cK5h_nIm_v92qp2J3jnA
