Esp 32 FIX:Boot Mode Error Needs to Be in Download Mode

This is a guide on how to deal with the error on esp 32 when bootmode is not loaded properaly and needs to be in download mode !

Setup: connect your esp 32 to a port and choose a specific module ex. (esp 32 dev module port 4 usb)

STEP 1&2:

esp 32 V1 dev module

STEP 2:

10μF capacitor

(optional)

breadboard

soldering kit (wire and soldering iron)

The bootmode is a button located on the right of your usb-c port on the esp 32.

The steps you should take are

Press and Hold the BOOT button.

Press and Release the EN(enable) button.

Release the BOOT button.

This should slow down your upload speed enough in order to sync with the moment that the boot sequence turns to 1 (HIGH).

That means that the signal will be sent and the chip will be ready to enter dowload mode.

This procedure can be a bit frustrating to do everytime thankfully there is an other alternative in Step 2.

This method is a hands-free solution to your problems SOS your upload speed MUST be set at 92100

In this step capacitors job is to act like a shock absorber. What it basicaly does is delay the signal and allow the microcontrollers chip to enter into download mode.

The connections are as following:

GND of the esp 32 connected to the negative rail(-) of the capacitor.

EN(enable) connected to the positive rail(+) of the capacitor

You could do these steps either with a breadboard or by soldering the pins together with the capacitor

After completing make sure to have connected your specific esp dev module to the right port and click compile and run.
