Fast and Easy Cup of Soup

Your Keurig can do more than just make coffee. In this instructable, I will show you how to reuse an old K-cup and some leftover rice to make a delicious cup of chicken soup.
Supplies

Things you need for this project:
- Used K-cup
- Aluminum foil
- Granulated chicken bouillon (or crushed chicken bouillon cubes)
- Water
- A coffee cup
- Pre-made rice or pasta
- A soup mug

Pull the foil off the used K-cup. Dispose of the used coffee and remove the paper filter inside the K-cup.

Clean the K-cup and let it dry.

Cut out two aluminum foil squares. Use one to cover the bottom of the K-cup.

Measure out the chicken bouillon according to package directions and place it inside the K-cup. Ensure that you measure out enough bouillon for the amount of water you will be using.

Place and wrap the other foil square on the top of the K-cup.
When you are ready to make the soup, fill the Keurig with water. Place an empty coffee cup to catch the soup.

Remove the foil from the bottom of the K-cup. **IMPORTANT:** Line up the hole on the bottom of the K-cup with the pin in the coffee maker. **DO NOT MAKE A NEW HOLE!**

Close the Keurig and start the brewing cycle.

While the soup is brewing, microwave the pre-made rice or pasta for about 1 minute.

When the microwave is done, place the pre-made rice or pasta in the soup mug. **CAUTION:** The rice/pasta will be hot!

When the brew cycle is complete, pour the broth into the soup mug.

Stir and enjoy! 🍜
