Felted Mickey Art "Mosaic"

I used previously made wet felted wool sheets to make this "mosaic" of a minimalist Mickey Mouse. I'm in a never ending process of decorating a Mickey themed guest room so figured this would be perfect for it!
Supplies
- Felt (I made my own by wet felting wool)
- Tracing Board (this is similar to mine)
- Glue
- Freezer Paper
- Scissors
- Paint Brush
- Iron-On Pen
- Iron
- Cardstock
Draw/Trace Mickey

Draw Mickey or use a tracing board to trace an image that you print out
Go Over With an Iron-on Pen

Use an iron-on pen to go over the traced lines.
Iron the Pattern

Flip the paper over so that the iron-on pen side is against the felt. Then iron over the back of the paper.
You'll do this for each part of the design for each color. For example, the shoes are yellow so I just ironed the shoes onto the yellow felt. For the shorts, you'll want to iron it onto red felt, etc.
Use Freezer Paper

Since the iron on pen can be difficult to see on the black felt, you can print out the design or cut it out of freezer paper. All you need to do to have it print on freezer paper is cut the freezer paper to 8.5"x11" and put it into your printer. Make sure it prints on the matte side.
Then you cut out the shapes for the black parts and iron them (glossy side down) onto the felt. Then cut them out.
Arrange and Glue

Once all of the pieces have been cut out, use glue to attach them to a piece of cardstock.
To make it easy, I recommend using the original template and placing it on the tracing board. Then put the cardstock on top.
Then all you need to do is frame it!
