Timelapse of a Fireplace being created

This Instructable will teach you how to make a firepit. This is a fun project and allows for great bonfires all summer long.

Supplies

90-100 square stone bricks

First, you're going to need a place to put your firepit. My firepit is placed on grass, but I recommend using a stone patio if you have one. Make sure your patio is made out of stone because if it is not, when you're done making the firepit and use it, you'll burn your house down. Form a base from larger brick pieces if you have them, otherwise the small bricks can also serve this purpose.

Now, you're going to start building the firepit. Take the square stone bricks and start to form a circle. My circle contained 22 square stone bricks, but honestly, it doesn't matter how many bricks you use. You just want to make the circle big enough to put firewood in.

For the last step, you are going to make your firepit higher. My firepit has four layers of bricks but you can make as many as you want. Just make sure it looks like a firepit and not a well. One thing to remember is when making the layers you want to stagger the bricks so that when it is done, it will be stable and not topple over. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just look at the images.
