"floating" candles. Easy and Inexpensive Halloween decorations! Pictures don't really do them justice.

Materials:

pvc pipe (assorted lengths- i used one 8 ft pipe to make 8 candles.)

fishing line

sandpaper

alcohol (optional)

white poster board

TOOLS:

Sand the cut edges of the pvc pipe lightly to deburr. Put glue along bottom edge and cover with white poster board. cut the paper flush with the pvc pipe using scissors or exacto knife.

"melt" the Top:

use hot glue to make drips down the side to simulate melted wax.

Drill:

drill a small hole all the way through the pipe about 3/4 of an inch from top edge (I eyeballed mine). (At this time you can wipe any print on the side of pvc with alcohol to make it easier to cover) Paint with spray paint.

Add Fishing Line:

thread the fishing line through the pipe and tie (the line inside the pipe holds your tea light at the top) leave the string long enough to hang your canlde. Insert your tea lights

Enjoy!
