Froggy Supremacy

IMG_1289.JPG

I crocheted my childhood stuffy, Froggy. Froggy is 13 years old now, and I wanted to create and honorary replica of him. He is a pig, in a frog costume.

Supplies

I made him using:

-4mm/6mm crochet hoot

-Loops and Threads acrylic in the colours Sage, Pink and Black

-safety/plastic eyes

-darning needle

Brainstorming

I free-handed the pattern, and unfortunately didn't record it. However, I planned out, roughly, how I would separate this project.

Limbs and Body

His limbs were all crocheted separately, and then incorporated in as I worked on the body

Head

His head is just a pink oval. I crocheted the nose separately, and attached it on using a darning needle. I also added a darker pink thread for details. I used 9mm safety eyes for his eyes.

Hat

His hat is half a sphere. Then, I crocheted the ears of the frog separately, as well as the black circles. They were all sewed together. The whites in the eyes were added with the darning needle, same with the mouth of the frog.

Final Thoughts

I also made Froggy a friend, although I do not seem to have a name for him yet. He's an original design, inspired by a pig in a bear costume. Name recommendations would be appreciated!
