Want something cool to do when it’s really cold out? Do you want to do something that looks really cool and will provide cool Instagram pics? Well, this boiling water experiment is a really cool thing to do when it’s below 20 F out, and you only need a few things to do it!

Supplies

You will need:

-A tea kettle

-A container that can hold boiling water safely

-A stove

-Water

First, fill up the tea kettle with water. Boil the water until the kettle is whistling and the water is going at a rolling boil.

Fill Your Container

Next, fill your container with the boiling water. Bring it quickly outside before it cools down, and throw it up into the air. Throw it sideways, forwards, around, or anywhere else! Get creative with the shapes that you form in the air. Important: this experiment won’t work if it is above 32 F, and it will work the best when it is below 10 F. The biggest cloud of steam that I got was when it was -3 F. Enjoy this winter fun!
