Futuristic Buildings

The buildings that I made were inspired by my love of futuristic design. I wanted to create two buildings to represent the different styles that we see in futuristic buildings.

Supplies

AutoCad, Lightburn, laser cutter, cardboard, hot glue, and Solidworks

First, I went on Google to find inspiration.

Measurements

Next, I went into Solidworks to set up the measurements of the two buildings. This was only to determine their size so they wouldn't look disproportionate.

I put my design into AutoCad so it will be easier to laser my project. I had to make sure that the buildings were similar but not the same due to many futuristic buildings looking different.

Next, I put my design into Lightburn and set up the laser printer so it wouldn't burn my design. However, I did have to do a lot of trial and error to find the right settings.

Assemble

My second-to-last step was to assemble the building. I used hot glue because it can get in the little areas and it dries fast.

Finally, I painted it to add to the futuristic effect. I loved how it turned out!
