Gift Box

This is rectangular-shaped paper box that you can use to give gifts to someone. You know what the best gift is? A gift that is handmade and made with love. Even if it isn't perfect, it can be much more meaningful than expensive, store-bought items.

We usually wrap our gifts or place them in boxes and pack them beautifully before giving them to our loved ones. So, I made this paper box where you can put small gifts, chocolates, candies, or anything else you want to give to someone special.

After all, a gift made with love is always special, even if it isn't perfect!

First, take an A1-size sheet of paper and use a ruler to draw vertical lines at equal distances from each other. After drawing all the vertical lines, draw horizontal lines to create a grid.

At the intersection points of the vertical and horizontal lines, you can draw emojis or any other cute designs. I chose to draw little hearts, placing them in alternating positions to make the pattern look more attractive.

I tried my best to keep all the hearts uniform in shape and size, making sure that none of them looked too big, too small, too thin, or too wide. I wanted all the hearts to look as similar as possi

ble.

Painting and Outlining the Hearts

Once I had drawn all the hearts, I painted them pink using acrylic paint. Start by drawing the hearts lightly with a pencil so that you can easily erase any mistakes. You can darken the pencil lines later once you are happy with the shapes.

After painting all the hearts, I outlined them using a black liner to make them look neat and well-defined.

Once the paint had dried completely, I gently erased the horizontal and vertical grid lines that I had drawn using a ruler.

However, some of my pencil lines were still visible even after erasing them. So, here's a little tip from my experience: Always draw your guidelines very lightly with a pencil. Otherwise, the lines may remain visible even after erasing, just like they did in my artwork!

Marking the Height and Fold Lines

Decide how tall you want your paper box to be, then draw lines along the boundaries of the paper according to your desired height.

Next, fold the paper as shown in the image. Wherever a crease forms during folding, mark it with a pencil. These markings will help you identify the folding lines and make the next steps easier.

Final Look

After marking all the required lines and folds, your paper should look like the one shown in the image.

Folding, Cutting, and Assembling the Gift Box

Now, fold the paper as shown in the pictures and make the required cuts. Apply Fevicol to both cut sections and stick them together carefully to form the box.

Repeat the same process six times to make all six parts. And that's it! Your handmade paper gift box is ready to use. You can now fill it with chocolates, candies, small gifts, or anything special for your loved ones!
