Green Community Space
Our purpose for making this community center is to provide a safe and calming environment for people who lost their home in a natural disaster, such as fires, tornadoes, floods, and hurricanes. The hope is that people can come here to relax and enjoy themselves in a tranquil environment. This calm environment is optimal for unfortunate disaster victims recover their connection to the nature and a more positive attitude.

- Product uses plywood for all walls and structures of the main building and recycled balsa wood sticks for the greenhouse structure
Recycled balsa wood allows for cost affordability, as they are cheap and are able to make a structure that can stand.

- Kitchen, which only staff have access to
- Multi-purpose activity room
- Divided restroom with double door
- Open-walled dining room
- Library with an attached emotional support room installment
- Two entrances/exits to the building, one main entrance door and an exit that leads to a balcony wrapping around the building’s side

- Small grass place for seating, slightly elevated with a stairway
- Plants and a variety of shrub placed around interior

Our build can support the community through therapeutic and emotional support, allowing people to reconnect with nature. We hope that this sense of connection with the green world can allow for inner peace and healing after traumatic, devastating events such as the Los Angeles wildfires.
