Half-heart-shaped Cake Made From a Round Cake

How to make a heart-shaped cake if you only have a baking tin for a round one (with hole in the centre)?

You need:

1. 1 round cake with outer diameter 240 mm and inner diameter 85 mm
2. 1 knife
3. the cutting sheet
4. 1 mirror

Cut the round cake into pieces and arrange them to a half heart as shown in the video or follow the steps below.

Cut 1 and cut 2

Cut 3

Cut 4

Cut 5

Arrange pieces to half heart

Place mirror next to the cake for a full heart

or

proceed similarly with a second cake for a mirror-image half heart by

1. either using the cutting lines seen from the rear side of the cutting sheet (place the cutting sheet to a window and trace the cutting lines to the rear of the sheet),
2. or turning the cake upside down for cutting.
