I made this because I wanted to show off the bright colors and the fun energy that gaming has. It’s not just about me, it’s also meant to represent other people who love gaming and see it as part of who they are. The colors and the game together make it feel lively.

Autodesk Inventor. I used sketching tools to create 2D outlines, 3D modeling tools like Extrude and Fillet to build the console parts, and the assembly environment to connect the pieces together. I applied materials and colors to match the red, blue, and black components, and used decals to place the Fortnite image on the screen. I also relied on dimensions and constraints to keep everything aligned and properly sized.

Nintendo Sketch

I started the Nintendo sketch by making a simple rectangle. I set the width to 170 and the height to 100, and I placed it right on the origin so everything stays lined up. This gives me the base shape I’ll build the rest of the model from.

Sketches of the Red Controller

I sketched the basic pill‑shaped outline, added a centerline, and then placed the hole on the right side. I set the hole’s radius to 20 and dimensioned it 20 mm from the right edge and 20 mm from the centerline so it’s fully located. Then I added the smaller 7.5 mm and 10 mm dimensions on the left side to lock in the width and the semicircle. Once all the dimensions were in, the sketch became fully constrained and ready to extrude.

Controller Sketch

I started the controller by sketching a simple rectangle. I set the width to 3.937 and the height to 1.378, and I placed it off the origin so I could line it up the way I wanted. This gives me the base shape I’ll build the rest of the controller from

Sketches of the Blue Controller

For the blue controller, I added the four holes around the center block and dimensioned each one to .211 so they’re all the same size. Then I positioned them evenly around the rectangular feature so everything stays symmetric. After that, I rounded the outer corner to clean up the shape and make the part look finished.

Fortnite Work Plane

I placed the Fortnite picture onto a work plane so I could use it as a reference. I brought it in as an image on Work Plane 1 and lined it up where I wanted it. I’m basically using it as a visual guide while I work on the model.

Finished Product of Nintendo

I finished the Nintendo by taking the rectangle I sketched earlier and extruding it into a 3D shape. Then I cut out the big center opening and added the slot at the top. After that, I added the little tab on the side to finish the design. This is the final model that came from that original sketch.
