Harry Pawter Pet Costume

This instructable will show you how to create this Harry Potter pet costume.

Materials you will need:

-red felt

-gold felt

-black stiffened felt

-scissors

-pencil

-paper

-glue gun

-ribbon

To create the scarf, cut a strip of red felt. Use this first piece as a guide when cutting any additional pieces.

I cut 3 pieces, but depending on the size of the dog, you may need more or less.

Glue the ends of these pieces together to form one long piece of felt.

Use the scarf as a guide to cut a piece of gold felt.

Next, cut a rectangle and use it as a guide to cut up the rest of the gold felt into rectangles.

Space these evenly apart on the scarf and glue them on.

Cut thin, short, strips of gold felt and glue them vertically onto the end of the scarf. Then, cut along the edges of the strips to form fringe.

Fold a piece of paper in half, and close to the fold line, either draw a circle or trace a circular object.

Then, create another smaller circle inside the other one.

Draw the bridge of the glasses right up to the fold line.

Next, draw the side of the glasses.

Carefully cut this out, trace it onto the black stiffened felt, and cut that out.

Draw a lightning bolt onto the stiffened felt.

Draw a thin strip starting at the bottom of the lighting bolt. This will connect it to the glasses.

Cut this out, and glue it to the bridge of the glasses.

Measure the scarf around the dog, then take it off and glue it together.

Cut a long piece of ribbon that is plenty big enough to fit like a collar.

Put this on the dog, tie it like a bow, then hold up the glasses. Take note of where the sides of the glasses hit on the ribbon. Mark these places, take the ribbon off the dog, and glue the glasses to these places on the ribbon.

And you're done!
