🍫Healthy Mint Chocolate Bark🍫

I made some mint chocolate bark with pecans and salt. It is nice because the pecans add a nice crunch and the salt adds the perfect amount of saltiness. It is also really good with no peppermint flavoring, but my family prefers the peppermint. This is my first Instructable. My sister and I have done one or two together, but this is my first time writing one alone and taking pictures. I am only 10 and I feel like I am off to a good start.
Supplies

- 100% chocolate bar (4oz)
- 1/2 cup of creamy/crunchy peanut butter
- 3 TBSP maple syrup
- Edible peppermint flavoring
- 1 medium bowl
- 1 small rubber spatula
- Parchment paper
- Medium dish
Melting

Put chocolate bar and 1/2 cup peanut butter in a medium sized bowl and microwave for about 3 minutes in 1 minute intervals. Mix well and get chocolate off sides with rubber spatula.
Sweetener & Flavor

Mix 3 TBSP of maple syrup into the melted chocolate. Next, mix in 10 drops of peppermint flavoring. If that is not enough add more to make it even more minty. Mix until it resembles cookie dough.
Preparing to Freeze

Next, line your dish with parchment paper press the chocolate into the dish. I added some pecans for crunch.
Freeze

Put in a freezer for about 15 minutes.
Break

Get your chocolate out of the freezer and break into small pieces. At this point you can sprinkle a little salt on the chocolate while it is still soft. The salt will help bring out the flavor of the chocolate. Refreeze for 10 minutes or until hard.
Enjoy!!
