Honesty Is Destiny

cover2sat.jpg

Becoming competent in any craft, sport, or business, requires honesty. To get good at anything requires admitting to yourself where you went wrong in order to move beyond it.

We can become better than we are. And then we can become better than that. We are infinitely perfectable.

There are specific steps that can be taken to become more honest and gain the ability to more easily spot the liars.

Becoming a more honest person is the ultimate Do It Yourself Project.

Accept Reality

In the Realm of Truth

There is no level ground.

You are stepping up

Or you are sinking down.

The Truth explains the past while also predicting the future.

Life is a rental situation where you must pay to stay.

Today must die for tomorrow to be born.

Learn Patience

No worthwhile project is done in a day. The faster you admit to yourself your mistakes, the faster you will self-correct and get things done. Move quickly, but without haste.

Impatience is a form of anger and anger is always destructive.

Anger is a denial of reality. A denial of the Truth of the situation.

When you can, share the truth and then allow ample time for it to be digested. People may deny or ignore the Truth at the beginning, but the honest ones will eventually see it for themselves.

Life is an endless test to find the best.

The best that can be done, is to support always,

the best that can be done.

Things to Contemplate

If you can't laugh at yourself, then you're not paying attention.

Our life is one continuous lesson in the consequences of imperfection.

You hate it when people lie to you. So why do you lie to yourself?

Believing other people's lies is lazy. Believing your own lies is crazy.

The sting of Truth cannot hurt anything useful.

The pain of the poison inspires the creation of the antidote.

Spotting the Liars

The liars are clever, the liars are abundant. Many of them have become experts in every field imaginable. Do not assume they are honest because they have a degree or are popular.

Here is an instructible I did, illustrated with cartoons, that you might find useful:

Truth or Consequences

If it's True and you follow it,

You can see how it works.

If it's True and you shun it,

You will see how it hurts.

At every moment, you are either adding or subtracting from your life. Learn first, how to subtract the unnecessary.

Casting Out Liars

The E-book "Honesty Is Destiny" has some unique qualities. Email a free copy to an honest friend and they will usually find it interesting.

Send a copy to someone who avoids the Truth or is blatantly dishonest and you may never hear from them again. They will avoid you at all costs. You may be surprised how often this works.

All photographs, cartoons, and writing in this instructible are original creations by mikey77 who also writes anonymously under the name Forest Dweller.
