How To: Selective HDR and Selective Sharpening to Enhance an Image
Photoshop How-to Tutorial: Selective HDR and Selective Sharpening to Enhance an Image.
In this video, I show you my method to combine an HDR with the original, single image to create and enhanced image using the best parts of HDR and the smooth parts of a normal image. The end result will be a portrait with a distinctive edge and without the extra noise and dirty skin look usually associated with HDR.
This method uses 3 layers and layer masking. A base layer that is non HDR, a second layer that is HDR and a third layer that is a blurred version of the HDR for the toned/contoured skin.
You can also apply this method to selectively sharpen an image by adjusting Clarity and using an Unsharp Mask instead on layer two.
