How to Clean and Maintain a Porcelain Sink
Cleaning guide and tips for bathroom and kitchen porcelain sinks.
Rinse the sink thoroughly and often. Using a mild cleaner and a sponge, wipe over the entire sink basin. Be sure to clean spills and splatters as the happen and do not let toothpaste dry in the sink!
To sanitize a porcelain sink, use mild chlorine bleach cleaner with a gentle sponge to coat the entire sink surface. Rinse clean and dry.
To help remove superficial scuff marks, create a paste of baking soda and water. Spread the paste of the sink surface and use a moist sponge to wipe clean. Using a polishing cleanser will also help to remove stains without scratching.
To bring life back to an old porcelain sink, pour vinegar straight from the bottle onto the sink surface and give it a good scrub with a nylon brush. Remember to rinse away the vinegar so the smell doesn’t linger!
