How to cook French Onion Dip

This has to be my all-time favourite dip, it has the mix of sweet and savoury.

This recipe is perfect for any party.

To Start Dice One Onion.

Divide in half and finely chop half of the onion into as small as you can.

Place into a pot.

Next Add 3 Table Spoons of Butter.

Followed by 1 table spoon of brown sugar.

Place Over Low Heat, Mix the Onions Through the Sugar.

Once the butter has melted, cover with the lid and cook on low for 45 minutes.

The Onions Have Caramelised Nicely and Done a Little Brown in Colour.

Remove from the heat and let cool.

Time Put It Together.

In a mixing bowl add:

  • 1 cup of cream cheese that is at room temp
  • 2 tablespoons of sour cream.
  • Then 2 teaspoons of minced garlic.
  • Add the onions.
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper.
  • ½ teaspoon of salt.
  • ½ teaspoon of celery salt.

Using a Fork Mix It All Together.

If you’re finding it a bit tricky to mix, heat in the microwave for 20 seconds.
