How to Decorate a Christmas Mirror
Decorating a mirror allows you to transform a functional and common object into a decorative centerpiece. For this, I wanted to decorate my mirror with some objects I use in my Christmas tree decorations or centerpieces. I wanted to give it light and sparkle during the December season. It's incredible how with so few objects I was able to decorate my mirror and make it the center of attention for those who visited my house. So today I want to share how I did it.
Supplies
1 Mirror
1 Wired Garland
2 Rose Gold Christmas Flowers
6 Gold Branches or Foliage
4 Gold Spheres or Teardrops
1 Strand of White
3 White Reindeer
1 Christmas Light Extension
2 Gold Heart-Shaped Ornaments
As a first step, choose a mirror, whether rectangular, round, square, or whatever you like. The idea is to decorate a simple mirror and give it light and shine with all the magic of the Christmas season.
1.To begin, arrange the wire garland by untangling it and placing one branch facing up and the other facing down. Then place it on the mirror to measure it according to the mirror's size.
2. Place the Christmas light extension; I chose this one I have at home, which is a light that comes in the shape of a vine.
3. Attach the wired garland to the mirror to keep it fixed. I use the same wired branches to attach it to the mirror, then I tie it behind with nylon.
4. I chose 3 white reindeer to begin arranging the mirror, I placed one in the center of the mirror and the other two on each side, this arrangement gives me the order in which I will place the other objects.
5. Use some golden branches to place on each side of the reindeer that was placed in the middle of the mirror.
6. Place the two rose gold flowers in the center of the mirror on each side of the reindeer and the branches that are located in the center of the mirror
7. Place these golden branches at each end of the mirror.
8. I love the heart shape; I can say it's my favorite symbol, and I use heart-shaped objects in many of my decorations. So, this mirror couldn't be without its decorative heart. I placed these golden heart ornaments in the middle of the rose gold flowers and the reindeer on the sides.
9.I chose these golden teardrop-shaped spheres, attached them to a wired branch of the garland, and positioned it so that it appeared to float. This is something I love to do when decorating mirrors; I love placing Christmas spheres or bags in different sizes and making them appear to float.
10. Then, to give the mirror more design, I chose a strand of white pearls and placed it as follows: first, find the middle of the pearl strand and the middle of the garland and position the strand; tie the strand with the wired branch of the garland, and then attach each remaining end to each side of the garland and secure with the branch.
11.To finish decorating the mirror, place these golden branches in the center of the mirror to give volume to the center of the decoration.
Finally, here you have a beautiful mirror decorated with lots of glitter and Christmas nostalgia.
Here are some other decorated mirrors I made. I hope they inspire you and show that it's not very difficult to make amazing decorations with things we already have or bought for Christmas.
