How to Expand Storage in a Chromebook

If you're like me, chromebooks are a big part of your life. Maybe you use them for schoolwork, for home use, or maybe you're a student who is attracted to Mac systems, but not to the price tag. Whatever your reason. chances are that your chromebook isn't going to have a great amount of storage built in. Never fear! Following these steps will help you increase the amount of physical storage your chromebook has in no time.
Cruzer Fit (By SanDisk)

I recently bought a Samsung Chromebook 3 (2017 Model, 500C if you really want to know)
I found that 16GB of eMMC flash storage just wasn't enough.
So, I did the obvious. I went out and bought a 32GB SanDisk Cruzer Fit drive ($9.99 from the local Micro Center), and popped it in. Now, I have a good 48GB to work with, which is more than enough for my basic day-to-day use.
External Hard Disk

If you don't mind spending a few more dollars for an external HDD, you can do so. The only problem that you may come across is that of size, as I highly doubt you want to be lugging around a large HDD just for the sake of a few extra gigs of storage.
However, a few noteworthy drives are the WD myPassport, or any SSD inside of a USB --> SATA enclosure.
Google Drive

This may seem obvious, but by buying most chromebooks, you get 100GB of free GDrive Storage for 2 years! 2 years may not seem like a lot, but by then you are likely to have a much larger and more powerful system anyways. Check out https://www.google.com/chromebook/offers/ for more information
