How to Fix Monoprice Mini SLA Printer WIFI Not Connecting

I bought a MonoPrice Mini SLA printer 2 years ago. I could not get it to connect to my WIFI. After several tries I gave up on connecting to my WIFI. So I spent the last two years using the Micro SD card to print my designs.

While this works just fine, I want the ease of using the web interface. So I opened up the Monoprice Mini SLA printer. This is what I found and how to fix it.

Some double sided tape. I bought a roll of 3M double sided tape from Staples. But any double sided tape will work.

Before you start, make sure there is no resin in the reservoir. Remove these six Phillips Pan Head Self Tapping Screw. Remember to keep your screws separated. It will make putting everything back together easier.

Next turn the printer upside down and remove these six pan head machine screws.

Remove these two final screws and carefully lift the base off. Be careful the WIFI module is glued to the aluminum frame and the main control board and WIFI antenna are attached to the base.

Next detach the WIFI module from the aluminum frame. I used a small pairing knife to do this. Be careful, there is not much room to work. I was not able to take a picture of before I removed the WIFI module. I used the double sided tape to stick the WIFI module to the bottom of the base not far from the fan.

Reassemble the printer in the reverse order that was used to disassemble it.

If you have not already configured the printer for WIFI follow the instructions in the printer's manual. Power the printer on and after a little bit of time the IP address for the printer will be displayed on the LCD screen.
