How to Make a Paper Airplane That Flies

This Intructable is a step by step instruction with pictures and videos on how to make a simple paper airplane that flies well.
Supplies
Regular piece of rectangle paper that's 8.5 x 11.0 inches (215.9 x 279.4 mm).

Step 1: Start with a regular piece of rectangle paper that's 8.5 x 11.0 inches (215.9 x 279.4 mm).

Step 2: Fold top left corner to right edge

Step 3: Unfold

Step 4: Fold top right corner to left edge

Step 5: Unfold to reveal a big X

Step 6: With the same orientation, flip the paper around to reveal the backside


Step 7: Find the center point of the big X, fold down the top edge of the X to the bottom edge of the X

Step 8: Unfold


Step 9: Using the same center point of the X, fold the left edge of the X to the right edge of the X

Step 10: With the same orientation, flip the paper around to reveal the frontside


Step 11: Using your finger, poke the center point of the X and the edges should pop out



Step 12: Bring right and left edges inward together while folding the top downward to create a triangle


Step 13: Fold left and right triangle corners to the top corner of the triangle

Step 14: Fold the center top of the triangle down to the bottom of the triangle

Step 15: Fold down the center point of the triangle until it meets the bottom of the other triangles

Step 16: Turn paper over


Step 17: Fold the left half to the right




Step 18: Fold wings to make sure corner points touch


Step 19: Maneuver plane so that flat side of wings are facing you

Step 20: At the edge of each wing, fold upward about 1 pinky width


Step 21: Grip center of plane, as if you’re about to fly it


Step 22: Gently tilt the wings upwards a bit

Step 23: Make sure the flaps on the wings are standing straight up

Step 24: Now you are ready to fly!

Step 25: Tip: Holding the plane near the tip produces a better fly!
